MG1 (hard one-tone)

A mallet with sharp tone and clear definition, designed to work in large ensembles, as well as in front of the orchestra. Works best in the upper register of the marimba.

 

MG2 (hard two-tone)

A mallet, which combines sharp edge with gentle softness. Works best in the middle and especially upper register of the marimba.

 

MG3 (medium one-tone)

A medium-hard mallet, which provides clear definition and articulation. Mixes well with MG1 and MG5. Works best in the middle and upper register of the marimba.

 

MG4 (medium two-tone)

A medium-hard mallet, which provides clarity in the louder dynamics, as well as gentle touch in the softer dynamics. Mixes well with MG2 and MG6/MG6*. Works best in the middle and upper register of the marimba.

 

MG4* (medium-softtwo-tone)

A slightly softer version of MG4, providing more depth and bringing out the core of the sound. Works best in the middle, but also upper register of the marimba.

 

MG5 (soft one-tone)

A bass mallet providing clear articulation and punchy bass-line. Works best as a bottom mallet to MG1 and MG3.

 

MG6 (soft two-tone)

A medium-soft mallet, which works both in the lower and medium register, providing the option of using the mallet for more articulate bass or for softer general playing.

 

MG6* (very soft two-tone)

A soft bass mallet with warm, deep and heavy sound. Works best as addition to other two-tone mallets from the MG Series.

 

MGR1 (medium-soft roller)

A mallet with soft and gentle touch. Perfect for chorales, or as a bass mallet. Works best in the middle and lower register of the marimba.

 

MGR2 (soft roller)

A very soft mallet provides very little articulation, making it a perfect choice for rolls. Works best in the lower register of the marimba.
